Lydia Ko - Winner of the Marathon Classic

Lydia Ko, 19 Year Old Number 1 Ranked World LPGA Golfer

Lydia Ko won the 14th LPGA Tour title of her career at the Marathon Classic in a 4 hole playoff.

The 19-year-old won the event for the second time in three years. Ko shot a final round 2-under for a 69 in Ohio with a gross score of 14-under par at 270. She started the final round at 12-under par.

Said Ko, "I think we were all getting a little bit physically and mentally tired as we were continuing to play the same hole. I just tried to keep being patient. Just seeing a putt drop for birdie kind of got my emotions going. I'm not really a huge fist pump kind of person, but I think it's probably the biggest fist pump I've ever done."

Lydia is ranked as the top player in the world and took home a $225,000 paycheck for her effort.
