Adam Scott has scored his first PGA Tour win since 2014, taking out the Honda Classic at Palm Beach Gardens, FL by a stroke while being challenged by Sergio Garcia.

World number 13 Scott held off Garcia's charge to finish at even-par 70 in the final round to card an overall 9-under-par to win the tournament for the first time in his career.

Scott, who recovered from a quadruple bogey in the third round to take out his first title since discarding his broomstick putter since the ban came into play at the start of the year, called it a satisfying win.
"It feels very good. It was nice to hit some quality shots coming in. Luckily for me, it was just enough. My game has come into a really good spot. We've worked really hard to get it there, made some nice progress in all areas, especially the greens. It paid off this week," said Scott.

"I got off to a good start, made one at the first and that definitely relaxed me. I made a lot of good putts and fortunately it was enough in the end," said the Honda Classic Champion for 2016.
